Geek Girls Blogs Podcast

2-Aug-2008 by Jodie Miners

On Thursday evening this week I had the absolute pleasure to join with @ceibner, @alegrya and @eskimo_sparky to record an episode of the Geek Girls Blogs Podcast. This one was on recruitment for Women in IT.

In an absolute contrast to my efforts with the Demo’s Happen Here presentation the evening before, this one was a wonderful experience.

I was relaxed (the company and the champagne helped), I knew what I wanted to say, and it made such a difference being face to face with the others in the room, so it was more like one of the conversations we would regularly have anyway.

It was completely unscripted, and we didn’t know what each of us was going to say but it’s interesting how it naturally merged into us all talking about very similar things – Network, get out there and get known, get your CV / Linked In profile happening and Just Do It!

It was such a fun evening and lovely company for our dinner and drinks afterwards. Thank You Catherine, for a fun evening.
