O-Sync Mobile Phone Synchronisation

25-Feb-2006 by Jodie Miners

O-Sync finally works and it is fantastic. O-Sync is a FREE service that lets you Sync all your Mobile Phone contacts to their server automatically over-the-air, as a backup. It uses SyncML technology that is built into most newer mobiles.
I first found this service reviewed on iMobile.com.au and thought it sounded good, but it never worked on my Nokia 6230 so I sent the support team a message back in November. They said there was a problem with some of the Nokia phones. Since then I had tried it on a Sony Erricson, my Motoral PEBL and a newer Nokia that should have worked – none of them worked. But to my surprise I received an email from O-Sync the other day asking me to try again as they had upgraded the service – it worked!!!! YEAH.

This is a great service and it’s free and you can’t ask for better support than I have received from them. I highly recommend it.

Agree Jodie, Been using O-Sync from start, likewise in O-Sync, you can link up for automatic update or request update from your contacts within your contact list, and more … eg. calendar, to-do list …

Oh, zyb sharing of contactS? Any issue with privacy? Had the the person whose contact details are shared out by zyb user, been informed or approved for such actions?

I have second thoughts on mine or associate contacts being shared out on the Internet … I don’t share out any of my contacts as a respect for privacy, and I know I cannot control someone doing it if my info are on somewhere which allows that.

I still recommend O-Sync and zyb to friends, and let them decide which 🙂

    cheers

    Hi Jodie

No doubt O-sync is nice as far as the backup is concern. I used them for a while but when zyb.com launched in June my loyalties immediately changed because of there simple interface and amazing sharing feature. With zyb, I can share my contacts and calendar. I think they are really cool. And guess what?? They are also free.
